HEIDENHAIN has appointed Abhilash Tripathi as Managing Director for its Indian operations effective 1st December, 2017. Tripathi has an Electrical Engineering degree from Malaviya National institute of Technology, Jaipur and an MBA in Marketing and international business from the prestigious Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi. He has almost 2 decades of industry experience in leading Indian and foreign multinational corporations at senior levels.

HEIDENHAIN is actively present in the Indian market with its own fully owned subsidiary at Chennai, HEIDENHAIN Optics & Electronics India Pvt Ltd. since 2008. HEIDENHAIN India provides high level of sales, application, service and training support for its diverse customers in India from its Chennai facility and engineers based at Bangalore and Pune.

DR. JOHANNES HEIDENHAIN GmbH, Germany develops and manufactures linear and angle encoders, rotary encoders, digital readouts, and numerical controls for demanding positioning tasks. HEIDENHAIN products are used primarily in high-precision machine tools as well as in plants for the production and processing of electronic components as well as in automated systems and machines.
