In an exclusive interview with Saishree Mohanty, Ritesh Kumar, Co-founder & CEO of Alogic, discusses the company’s ambitious plans for expansion in India, its global strategy, and how Alogic is transforming the consumer electronics landscape with innovative, multifunctional solutions.

Can you share more about Alogic's expansion plans in India and how it aligns with the company's global strategy?

We are currently focused on expanding our product range in India, specifically in the end-user computing space. Recently, we launched our Monitor, Keyboard, and Mouse range in the Indian market, furthering our vision of providing cutting-edge technology to local users. This initiative aligns with our global strategy of creating an autonomous environment around a core computing machine.

Our global approach involves diversification into various peripherals—monitors, keyboards, mice, webcams, docks—designed to enable users to break free from the limitations imposed by major OEMs. With affordable and versatile solutions, we cater to corporates and small businesses alike. Alogic, headquartered in California, already operates in 28 countries, and by 2030, we aim to expand into all major markets worldwide. Our goal is to grow our team of skilled professionals who are passionate about technology and share our vision for the future.

What unique challenges and opportunities have you observed in the Indian market, compared to other regions where Alogic operates?

India is a unique market, requiring a distinct approach compared to other regions. The demand for premium and advanced technology products is on the rise, driven by a growing percentage of users increasingly aware of productivity benefits. India's rapidly developing digital infrastructure and growing digital literacy make it one of the fastest-growing markets globally.

Key factors shaping this opportunity include a rising middle class, rapid urbanisation, higher disposable incomes, and increasing demand for smart tech solutions. These shifts, coupled with changes in consumer behaviour, offer vast potential for growth. A Deloitte report estimates that by 2025, India's digital economy will be valued at USD 1 trillion, underscoring the immense opportunity this market represents.

How has the consumer electronics sector evolved over the years, and what role has Alogic played in driving innovation?

The consumer electronics industry has seen substantial evolution, especially with a growing population becoming exposed to productive environments both at work and home. This has created a shift from mere exposure to preference, and now, demand for premium, feature-rich products.

Alogic continues to innovate by designing smart tech solutions that enhance productivity, whether at home or in the workplace. Our docking stations are at the forefront of technology, offering complete desktop connectivity with the ability to connect up to four displays. We've also introduced ergonomically designed laptop stands, wireless chargers, and travel hubs, combining flexibility with a superior user experience. Our focus remains on staying ahead of the curve, anticipating future user behaviour and needs.
