The National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) has awarded Aliaxis Research and Technology Centre Asia Laboratory in Bengaluru, India (Ashirvad Pipes Private Limited R&T Laboratory) the International Organisation for Standardisation ISO 17025 accreditation.
Aliaxis Research and Technology Centre Asia Laboratory, the research lab supporting Ashirvad Pipes, an Aliaxis company and India's leading provider of advanced plastic piping systems for diverse applications, has received this certification. This milestone strengthens credibility among customers, allows the laboratory to independently produce certified results, and brings new products to markets faster. This is the highest level of accreditation for research laboratories granted by the Government of India. It is recognised by organisations in the private and public sectors and reinforces customer confidence in the quality and reliability of the laboratory's testing and validation processes.
"This prestigious honour is a direct testament to our continued leadership in product quality and commitment to excellence through research and innovation. The certification enhances customer confidence in our ability to deliver the highest standards and opens a world of opportunity to serve new customers and markets," said Arvind Chandra, Divisional CEO, Aliaxis India.
The results from accredited laboratories are extensively used by regulators for the public benefit in the provision of services that promote an unpolluted environment, safe food, clean water, energy, health, and social care services. "This formal recognition at the highest level reflects robust quality management systems and processes followed by our testing and validation vertical at our laboratory, which is one of only three such centres at Aliaxis globally. I'm proud of what our team has achieved and look forward to introducing innovative solutions that help solve today's water and energy challenges," said Shireesh Pankaj, Vice President, Research & Technology, Aliaxis India.
The accreditation allows the R&T laboratory to endorse the relevant testing reports by using the NABL symbol and/or claim of accreditation, in accordance with NABL policy. Such endorsed reports enjoy wide acceptance nationally and internationally through the APAC and/or ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA).
