The contract aims to enhance the overall efficiency, reliability, and safety of the Vande Bharat Express.

MSL (Mobility Solutions Limited), a part of JCBL Group, has bagged a contract worth Rs. 100 crore with Indian railways for delivering and installing components for the Vande Bharat Express. The company is currently in the process of delivering and fulfilling the order. This landmark agreement cements MSL as one of the key manufacturers and suppliers of rail components to Indian railways.

Rishi Aggarwal, Managing Director, JCBL Group, the parent organisation of MSL, stated, "As more and more Vande Bharat trains start running, there is an urgent need to deliver high-quality components for assembling them. MSL constantly strives to leverage the best and most relevant technological practices, tools, and equipment to deliver the highest quality parts and components for assembling. Innovation is the keyword we live by; this collaboration allows us to showcase that."

The contract aims to enhance the overall efficiency, reliability, and safety of the Vande Bharat Express. With new such trains being launched and run throughout India, connecting several cities and regions, the partnership is only likely to accelerate its overall assembling and operations. Boasting decades of experience in providing innovative mobility solutions.

As part of the agreement, MSL would supply 8 pieces of the front mask or nose cone worth around Rs 2.4 crore, 16 rakes of interior paneling with toilets worth around Rs 76.58 crore, and 16 coaches per rake. The entire scope of work includes but is not limited to the development, supply, and installation of FRP interior panels for the roof, side, walls, and partitions, toilet with doors, accessories, roller blinds, and other critical equipment. This MSL and Indian railway partnership primarily aims to elevate and consolidate the structural integrity and build quality of the premium Vande Bharat Express.

The MSL management has stated that their production units are moving ahead, with the delivery set to be completed within the current financial year at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai. MSL's extensive portfolio of high-quality and durable products and its commitment to constant technological innovation would play a substantial role in this collaboration. This agreement could also multiply the company's scope in the nation's mobility sector.

As the ‘Make-in-India' campaign continues to gain momentum, collaborations of such nature would only inspire and encourage other players in the market. MSL stakeholders have repeatedly emphasised their customer-centric culture, fostering technological innovation and sustainability as key elements in their vision. They also underlined the importance of trust in this long-standing relationship they share with the Indian railways. The contract helps assure MSL's stakeholders that the company is on the right track to fulfilling its collective vision of helping build a more connected and efficient mobility network.
