NSIC signs MoU with Ministry of MSME for 2015-16

The National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) signed a MOU for providing enhanced financial, marketing, technology, and other support services to the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) in the country.

Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC signed the MOU, for the year 2015-16, with Madhav Lal, Secretary, MSME. During this year, the MoU projects a growth of 15 -20 percent in the operational performance of NSIC.

The key elements of the MOU includes distribution of raw material of up to Rs. 21000 crore, preparing MSMEs to avail enhanced benefits under ‘Public Procurement' by forming a consortia, conducting vendor development programs, and providing tender information to facilitate in tender participation.

NSIC will also adopt 10 clusters to extend the benefits of its schemes to the MSMEs operating from such clusters. It will also help MSMEs in their marketing efforts through mobilising greater membership under the e-marketing portal, www.msmeshopping.com.
