PTC successfully conducted an industry oriented webinar titled ‘Future Factory Now' on January 28, 2021 on The Machinist platform. The webinar was organised with the objective of enabling manufacturing companies to look at 'Digital Transformation' as a means for surviving, sustaining and succeeding in the #NewNormal.
The webinar featured two expert speakers: Graham Cox, Business Transformation Manager, PTC UK., and Rajkiran C, Senior Director, PTC India. It was hosted by Editor Niranjan Mudholkar.
In the first session of the Webinar, Cox shared useful and insightful case studies from different secgemnets through his presentation. In the second session, Cox was joined by Raj and together they engaged in an interesting fireside chat with Editor Niranjan.
The webinar, which covered subjects like Industry 4.0, Connected Factory & Augmented Reality (AR), gave an insightful overview of Digitalisation. Today, digitalisation has become all the more important. Take the simple example of ‘work from home'. People already knew about remote working in the pre-Covid era. But the pandemic has transformed it into a norm today. Similarly, other aspects of Industry 4.0 or digitalisation have been adopted by many enterprises to survive, to sustain and to succeed in this period.

Whether it is for front-end processes or for back-end support, technology can make manufacturing organisations more efficient, more agile and more relevant while adding value to all the stakeholders.
