With over 70 eminent delegates representing various stakeholders from academia, government and industry, these were some of the questions that the launch event brought forth.

Overall, there was a positive sentiment amongst the audience and a glimmering hope for the Prime Minister's clarion call for Make in India initiative showing promising steps. The speakers were also confident of MPMO programme providing the right impetus to fill the skill deficit that the country is facing at present.

MPMO has been developed by the Munjal Institute for Global Manufacturing and the Centre for Executive Education at the Indian School of Business. This programme is designed as a response to the key objectives outlined in the Government of India's ‘Make in India' Campaign. The Management Programme in Manufacturing and Operations at ISB is a unique education programme that aspires to meet the increasing need for techno-business managers for the manufacturing sector.

The MPMO is a year-long, hybrid programme with a mix of on- campus residencies and technology assisted learning. The residencies are held at the two campuses of ISB at Mohali and Hyderabad. The programme boasts of world-class faculty and experts and has been designed in consultation with the MIT Sloan School of Management.
