Nuberg Engineering has won a major Calcium Chloride project from Al Ghaith, a premier and diversified business house in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The project capacity is of 85 MTPD and is the first Calcium Chloride plant in UAE thereby making it a milestone project.
Nuberg has an incessant association with Al Ghaith and with this new project the total contract between the two companies is close to US$ 50 million. The agreement for the new project was signed during the inauguration ceremony of the pre-commissioning activities for Chlor Alkali EPC project on the sidelines of the recently concluded ADIPEC 2014 in Abu Dhabi.
Nuberg has very recently proved its mettle in Middle East by winning a second Chlor Alkali EPC project from Al Ghaith. The company already has two ongoing Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication and Construction (EPFC) Chlor Alkali projects with Al Ghaith and is in the process of commissioning the first phase of the EPFC project and delivering it successfully.
AK Tyagi, Chairman, Nuberg Engineering said, "We are excited about the project as it gives us the opportunity to set up UAE's first Calcium Chloride plant, making us one of the most trusted and reliable EPFC- LSTK companies globally.
"Winning this project is a reflection of our proven abilities and furthermore leverages our technology together with our one stop solution and project management capabilities for EPC projects. The scope of the project includes the Process Design and Technology, Basic & Detail Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, Erection, Quality Inspection, Safety Enforcement, Hand Holding, Training and Commissioning services.
"The fabrication for heavy process equipments will be done from our state-of-the-art manufacturing unit in Gujarat (India). We provide strong project execution model and are committed to timely delivery of the project."
Ali Hamel, Chairman, Al Ghaith Industries said, "We are proud to announce UAE's first Calcium Chloride plant. This strategic plant will affect import/export balance of Calcium Chloride in UAE favour. The project is a leap in the direction to encourage the non-oil industry in UAE.
"This project will enable us to not only cater to the local market but also export to neighboring countries as well. This is our third project with Nuberg and we are extremely satisfied with the organization's engineering depth and breadth. Nuberg's commercial competitiveness is also commendable, thereby, making it a logical decision to partner with one of the most trusted EPC-LSTK companies."
