AGIL completes key expansion at Crystal Ceramics

Total investment in Crystal Ceramics including expansion is around Rs. 170 crore

Mukesh Patel, Managing Director, Asian Granito India Ltd, said, "Company has also installed World's widest kiln at the new plant, with this AGIL has become the 1st company in the World to introduce widest kiln from SACMI-ITALY.

Post amalgamation total capacity of AGIL including its subsidiaries has reach to 1 lakh sq. Mtrs a day (including outsourcing). Company also plan to strengthen retail presence by ensuring that each and every customer has an option to go through entire range of products that we offer."

The Indian tiles industry is estimated at Rs. 26,000 crore in FY 16 and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 13%. India's low per capita tiles consumption of 0.5 sq mtr versus global average of 1.4 sq mtr, Rising urbanisation, growing disposable income, potential in the rural market and export market offers great potential for the industry.

Government initiatives such as Make in India, The Smart Cities Mission, Housing for all, and The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan will give further boost to the industry. GST will also help to have a better trend for all branded segments and help to gain better market share.
