Newland AIDC's Portable Data Collector to empower unorganised Indian retail segment

Newland AIDC, a globally leading company in the auto-identification industry, has unveiled its exclusive Portable Data Collector- MT37 specifically for the Indian retail segment for smarter inventory management. The newly launched offering aims to empower the unorganised sector in attaining standardisation and maintaining high-quality inventory with access to real-time data. 

Indian retail industry accounts for over 10 per cent of the country's GDP. Though India is the world's fifth largest global destination in retail space, the sector is predominantly unorganised as independent retailers have limited access to resources and finances to deploy new-age inventory management tools.

Newland AIDC democratises the fragmented retail segment with its new offering to address the challenges of forecasting demand, optimising stock levels, and managing replenishments. The MT37 helps the retailer with shelf inventory, asset tracking, order entry, basic inventory, shelf replenishment and barcode comparison.

Newland AIDC's MT37 features a user-focused ergonomic design and renders a lightweight and well-balanced device for extended work sessions. It furhter boasts an excellent performance for retail users as it is equipped with 1.8GHz quad-core processor, Android 8.1 system and high-performance dual-band Wi-Fi. In addition, it supports AC standard and BT5.0 while its rugged housing withstands 1.2m drops to concrete.

The NLS-MT37 bolsters superior barcode reading performance is powered by Newland's 6th generation chip that can scan damaged or low-quality barcodes with speed and ease. It comes with special pre-installed DCAPP software that customizes the handheld device for the retailer's requirement.

The new NLS portable data collector is available in a 2.83" screen size in a compact design. It comes with a 3300 mAh battery and a Type C USB port for easy usability.
