ReNew Power Venture, one of India's largest clean energy companies, has appointed Ajay K Goel as President Solar and Chief, New Businesses.
In his current role, Ajay will be responsible for building new businesses on the distributed side of the solar sector focusing on commercial, industrial, and residential segments.
This will entail creating end-to-end innovative solutions around multiple products, technologies, and business models such as rooftop solar, energy efficiency, energy storage, among others.
Prior to joining ReNew Power, Ajay was the CEO at Tata Power Solar, where he revived their cell and module manufacturing business as well as moved the company downstream in both central and distributed generation. Earlier, he spent 20 years in the United States gaining in-depth experience at leading high-tech and clean-tech companies such as SunEdison, Brightsource Energy and McKinsey where he helped them with strategy, new investments, product development, and streamlining operations.

Ajay is an Electrical and Computer Software Engineer from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and holds an MBA from the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business.
