DP World, a prominent global provider of comprehensive end-to-end logistics solutions, has embraced the inaugural weekly India Middle East Service (IMS/IM1) at its advanced Nhava Sheva and Mundra Terminals.
In a collaborative effort, WAN HAI Lines and Unifeeder will manage a weekly service to Jebel Ali, offering a considerable capacity of 1700 TEUs. This service will enhance connectivity between the West Coast of India through Mundra and Nhava Sheva, and the Middle East.
The commencement of this service was marked by the arrival of the vessel "Big Breezy" at DP World Mundra on July 31st, 2023. Distinguished figures including Captain Joey DC Dandin, Master of the vessel, Mr. Xavier Dass, Representative of WAN HAI, and Ashutosh Rana, General Manager of Operations at DP World Mundra, were present at the inaugural call ceremony. With the introduction of the IMS/IM1 service, DP World is positioned to leverage its superior logistics capabilities to drive increased trade between India, Jebel Ali, and the global marketplace.

The IMS/IM1 service connecting Jebel Ali is now the eighth regular service departing from DP World Mundra, and the twelfth such service departing from DP World Nhava Sheva. This initiative will greatly benefit not only large enterprises, but also the SME and MSME clusters across North and West Indian states including Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh. Leveraging DP World's comprehensive multimodal network, these clusters can seamlessly connect to the port terminals in Nhava Sheva and Mundra via road and rail links.
