All electric, ‘green' machine ELEKTRON 450 Ton, developed by Milacron India, won the 5th National Award for ‘Innovation of Polymer Processing Machinery and Equipments', along with a cash prize of Rs1 lakh.
ELEKTRON is designed to provide a high level of accuracy, repeatability, and consistency. It is best suited for the automotive, packaging and other clean room applications. It is being called ‘green' because it consumes 30 - 50 percent less energy as compared to other hydraulic machines.
The Minister of Chemicals and Fertilisers, Ananth Kumar, presented the award to Jigish Shah and Kaushik Bhuva during a function in Bangalore. The Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilisers, Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, was also present at the ceremony.
The National Award for innovation in technology are given to encourage the stake holders to constantly innovate, research, and move with the time to meet the fast changing requirements of petrochemical industry.
