Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy inaugurates INOX Air products' largest air separation unit at SAIL Bokaro

The ASU has a capacity of 2,150 tonnes per day (TPD) of industrial gases, including 2,000 TPD of gaseous oxygen, 150 TPD of liquid oxygen, 1,200 TPD of gaseous nitrogen, and 100 TPD of argon.

INOX Air Products, India's largest industrial gas manufacturing company, has announced the inauguration of its largest-ever Air Separation Unit (ASU) at the Bokaro facility of Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) by Union Minister of Heavy Industries and Steel, Shri H.D. Kumaraswamy. The ASU has a capacity of 2,150 tonnes per day (TPD) of industrial gases, including 2,000 TPD of gaseous oxygen, 150 TPD of liquid oxygen, 1,200 TPD of gaseous nitrogen, and 100 TPD of argon.

The Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Steel, Shri Bhupathi Raju Srinivasa Varma, and Chairman of SAIL, Shri Amarendu Prakash, were also present at the inauguration, alongside Siddharth Jain, Managing Director of INOX Air Products.

Commenting on the occasion, Siddharth Jain, Managing Director of INOX Air Products, said: "We are extremely grateful to the Honourable Minister, Shri H.D. INOX Air Products' long-term onsite gas supply partnership with SAIL began in 2008 with the establishment of its first cryogenic ASU on a Build-Own-Operate (BOO) basis at the Bokaro Steel Plant, followed by another ASU with a capacity of 108 TPD at SAIL's Salem Plant in 2011.
