RRP Semiconductor secures Rs 439.90 crore order for solar cell supply and silicon materials

RRP Semiconductor Ltd. (RRP), a prominent player in the semiconductor and renewable energy sector, has secured an order worth Rs 439.90 crore from Telecrown Infratech Private Limited, Pune, Maharashtra. The contract includes the supply and import of essential materials such as silicon solar cells, melted silicon crystals, and polycrystalline materials, supporting the installation of 106 MW solar power PV modules across various locations in Maharashtra.

This project marks a major milestone for RRP, furthering its expansion in the renewable energy sector with a focus on solar power solutions. Sumita Mishra, Managing Director of RRP Semiconductor Ltd., stated, "We are delighted to enter the supply of silicon crystalline materials, especially for solar power modules. As India currently relies on imports for this crucial product, this strategic order will contribute significantly to delivering high-quality silicon crystalline PV modules."

 Mishra added, "As we take on this contract, we are committed to building a strong reputation in the solar and semiconductor fields, particularly in silicon cell production. This opportunity enables us to diversify our service offerings and explore new sectors, including OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test), Chip on Glass, NAND Flash, and memory modules."
