Ansys and PSG-STEP collaborate to foster engineering innovation through new Simulation Centre

This partnership aims to establish the 'Ansys-PSG-STEP Simulation Centre of Excellence,' which will provide early-stage technology ventures and MSMEs with access to advanced simulation tools and resources to accelerate innovation.

Ansys Software Private Limited, a global leader in engineering simulation software, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PSG Science & Technology Entrepreneurial Park (PSG-STEP), a premier technology incubator supported by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. This partnership aims to establish the 'Ansys-PSG-STEP Simulation Centre of Excellence,' which will provide early-stage technology ventures and MSMEs with access to advanced simulation tools and resources to accelerate innovation.

Mike Yeager, Area Vice President, India and Japan at Ansys, expressed the company's commitment to supporting India's 'Make in India' vision through this collaboration. "Our partnership with PSG-STEP will help the next generation of innovators bring their ideas to market faster and at a reduced cost," he said. Murali Pullela, Director of Sales at Ansys, added that the simulation centre will drive innovation and foster a culture of engineering excellence, enabling entrepreneurs to accelerate product development and reduce costs.

For over 50 years, Ansys has been a leader in providing simulation software that empowers innovators across industries. The company's tools have been utilised in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, healthcare, defence, and high tech.

Dr. K Prakasan, Principal of PSG College of Technology and Vice Chairman of PSG-STEP, described the partnership with Ansys as a game-changer for incubatees and MSMEs, helping foster innovation and entrepreneurial growth.

PSG-STEP, known for nurturing technology-based enterprises in sectors like software, biotechnology, nanotechnology, and more, will leverage the collaboration with Ansys to offer an enhanced ecosystem for startups. Carefully selected incubatees will receive mentorship, infrastructure support, and networking opportunities to accelerate their growth, driving a new wave of engineering innovation in India.
