Hindustan Zinc, a Vedanta group company and India's leading zinc-lead-silver producer, has won the prestigious India Silver Conference Excellence Award 2023 for being India's largest integrated silver manufacturer. This recognition comes as Hindustan Zinc ascends to the rank of the third largest silver producer globally, as confirmed by the World Silver Survey 2024 conducted by The Silver Institute.

The award acknowledges Hindustan Zinc's commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainable practices in the silver manufacturing sector. The company's consistent growth of five per cent year-on-year is attributed to increased ore production and enhanced grades.

Hindustan Zinc's Sindesar Khurd Mine stands as the world's second-top silver-producing mine, further accentuating the company's significant contribution to the silver industry. From a modest silver production capacity of 41 MT in 2002, Hindustan Zinc has surged to a leadership position, boasting a production capacity of 746 MT.
