INEOS Styrolution has been selected by the automotive parts manufacturer RPC Promens for use in Daimler Actros trucks. Truck cabin corner parts are made of a specific Luran S grade in Daimler's color "Arctic White".

Truck cabin corner parts guide air around the corner of the truck and thereby reduce dirt on doors and side panels. Luran S 797S SPF30 WT010027, an acrylonitrile styrene acrylate (ASA), turned out to be the best material for the job. The material is known for its high surface quality and good impact strength, including enhanced color fastness and delivering superior long-term performance when exposed to UV irradiation and heat. It provides a lightweight solution, optimized surface aesthetics and it does not require painting.

Experts from Daimler's truck division, the moulding specialist RPC Promens and INEOS Styrolution worked in close cooperation to find the best solution for the given task.

Daimler is very satisfied with the results of this project. For them, the parts are produced with less manufacturing steps, which is also more environmentally friendly.
