Sign an MoU with seven colleges in Bengaluru and Mysore

Tata Technologies has signed an MoU with seven colleges in Bengaluru and Mysore to offer the "Ready Engineering' Program for the students. The initiative aims to improve the employability of engineers and reduce the time and resources spent by companies on re-training the graduate engineers.

According to the India Skills Report 2017, only two out of five candidates applying for jobs are employable. The employable population however has seen an increase due to the initiatives by the government and the industry. Tata Technologies' ‘Ready Engineer' program identifies 3rd & 4th year Mechanical Engineering students from colleges to be part of this unique training. The program imparts application based training by industry experts, in the Design Engineering domain and CAD tools hosted on Tata Technologies learning tool i GET IT®.

The seven colleges who have partnered with Tata Technologies are:

1.            RV College of Engineering, Bengaluru

2.            REVA University, Bengaluru

3.            PES University, Bengaluru

4.            Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bengaluru

5.            JSS University, Mysore

6.            National College of Engineering, Mysore

7.            Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur

"Ready Engineers is one of our flagship programs and it is aligned with industry's need for employable candidates who are ready to take on the needs and challenges of the hour from the word-go. Our Corporate Sustainability Program has identified technical education and skill-gap bridging as the core. Our experts go the extra mile to make sure that we can take industry to the campus in the best manner possible", said Warren Harris, MD & CEO, Tata Technologies.
