In a milestone development for the state of Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav inaugurated the State Load Dispatch Center (SLDC) of Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited (UPPTCL) at Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. UPPTCL is the transmission utility of the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Sunil Mathur, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Siemens Ltd, said, "Siemens is delighted to partner with Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited in their initiative to modernize energy management systems. The state-of-the-art SCADA/EMS system by Siemens will enable UPPTCL to deliver true value to their consumers by providing uninterrupted, high quality of power while ensuring sustained protection of the environment."
