The Bosch Group offers development services for small batch production through its wholly owned subsidiary Bosch Engineering GmbH. Specializing in custom system and software development, the company employs more than 2,100 people worldwide.

Founded in 1999 with just 13 employees, it has been growing steadily ever since. Growth drivers in the development services sector include a steady rise in the number of variants produced by vehicle manufacturers and the increasing complexity of software development.

At the same time, digitalization and connectivity are putting ever greater demands on the security of data and processes. "As a result, development service providers are increasingly viewed as an indispensable partner in the vehicle, system, and software development process," says Heyn.

Acquiring ITK Engineering will enable the Bosch Group to broaden and expand its range of development services and custom software development packages. ITK Engineering will be run as a wholly owned subsidiary within the Bosch Group and controlled by Bosch Engineering.
