Essel commissions 50 MW solar power project in UP

The solar plant is expected to generate 85 million units per year and connected to 132 KV Sarsela-Kalpi substations.

EIL is Essel group's flagship infrastructural company with verticals like Core Infra, Green and Integrated Utilities. EIL under its green vertical has commissioned solar projects at Osmanabad (Maharashtra) and Bijapur (Karnataka), Essel has emerged as major player in solar power generation with upcoming solar project in Tamil Nadu. Further, company has also been awarded solar PV project at Mansa (Punjab).

Essel Group, India's leading business conglomerate has collaborated with Golden Concord Holdings Ltd. to formed a Consortium to invest US$2 billion in creating 5 GW of Solar Power Module Manufacturing Capacity by 2020 in Andhra Pradesh.

The group has fully integrated the Solar Park in collaboration with the Government of Rajasthan to develop Solar Park at Bikaner and Jaisalmer with the total investment of Rs4,000 crore. The group has shown keen interest in developing major infrastructural projects in the state of Rajasthan for verticals like Roads and Waste to Energy.
