Dormer Pramet showcased an impressive line up of innovative products designed to cater to the rapidly growing manufacturing sector in India. Sharad Kulkarni, Managing Director India and Sales Director Asia, Dormer Pramet, highlighted some of these key offerings, including high-feed milling cutters, which are indexable milling solutions aimed at improving productivity, reducing cycle times, and lowering costs for customers.

Another standout category is the range of solid carbide drills, which are gaining popularity in the metal-cutting industry for their precision and efficiency. Additionally, Dormer Pramet has introduced powder metallurgy taps that promise significant cost savings compared to traditional options. These products are tailored to meet the demands of Indian manufacturers and help them achieve enhanced efficiency and profitability.

On the topic of sustainability, Shib Banerjee, Global Head of Sustainability and QEHS, Dormer Pramet, outlined the company's comprehensive approach. Dormer Pramet is deeply committed to becoming net-zero carbon by 2050, aligning with global sustainability goals. Key initiatives include investing in alternative energy sources, such as solar PV installations at production units, and exploring renewable energy options in facilities like those in India. The company is also upgrading older machinery with energy-efficient alternatives to reduce energy consumption. Banerjee emphasised the focus on circularity, where customers are encouraged to return used products, which are then recycled into new offerings, fostering a circular economy. Beyond environmental goals, Dormer Pramet is dedicated to responsible business practices, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and ensuring high safety standards across its operations.

Amaya Albisu, Vice President Communications & Branding, elaborated on Dormer Pramet's recent rebranding efforts. In October of last year, the company unified its global brands under the Dormer Pramet master brand while retaining local heroes like Miranda in India and Precision in the US. This initiative aims to create a unified identity with shared values and a clear brand promise of "certainty at every turn." The rebranding also includes a focus on sustainability, such as introducing recyclable packaging and enhancing digital capabilities to simplify the customer journey. Albisu emphasised the company's commitment to becoming digitally savvy by improving its website and e-shop platforms, ensuring seamless product identification and purchasing for distributors and end customers.

Amit Raina, Country Manager, shed light on Dormer Pramet's ambitious plans for the Indian market. With India emerging as a key growth driver globally, the company is poised to capitalise on the market's potential. Raina highlighted the addition of Miranda's product range to strengthen the company's offerings in India, which include high-feed cutters, turning grades, and solid carbide assortments. Dormer Pramet aims to deliver unmatched value and productivity to its Indian customers and has set ambitious growth targets for the region.

On a global scale, Oliver Sax, Vice President Global Sales and Marketing, Dormer Pramet, discussed the company's strategic focus on Asia. Sax emphasised the investments Dormer Pramet has made in new sales and service centres in Southeast Asia and a production facility in India. He underscored the importance of bringing proven global solutions to local markets, tailored to regional needs, to enhance customer productivity. While Asia remains a key growth area, Dormer Pramet continues to expand its presence in the Americas while maintaining its stronghold in the well-established European market. Sax reaffirmed the company's commitment to growth and innovation, ensuring Dormer Pramet remains a trusted partner for its customers worldwide.
