Hazardous waste

Perhaps, this is one of the areas of most concern. Chemical management and the management of hazardous & non-hazardous waste is a critical part of having an environment-friendly plant. It is extremely important to focus on this area and take suitable steps as per the nature of the waste.

Awareness

Last but not least, it is important to spread awareness amongst employees about green initiative. Speaking on the same, Bangert mentioned, "Our HSE department conducts regular awareness sessions to sensitise the issue of environment sustainability among the people of the company. Besides, various initiatives like World Environment Day celebration, tree plantation within plant premises, PUC camps for company and associate vehicles, waste reduction workshops etc. are regularly organised by the company at the plant."
