6. Would you tell us something about the awards to be given away - the Robotics and the Hermes awards? The selection procedure and who might get them this year.

HM 2015 will mark the twelfth consecutive season of Deutsche Messe's Hermes Award technology prize. Objective is to expedite the process of turning new ideas into market-ready products and processes. The coveted prize, which carries an attractive prize package worth around € 100,000, is given in recognition of outstanding innovations being unveiled at HANNOVER MESSE 2015 for the first time. Competition is open to all companies that are exhibiting at Hannover Messe but there are certain criteria for applying for the competition. There is a special Jury that selects the winner. This year, we have five nominated companies: ABB Automation GmbH, ContiTech, Next Kraftwerke GmbH, SCHUNK GmbH & Co.KG and Wittenstein AG.

The Robotics Award is a prize for applied robotics solutions - under the patronage of the Lower Saxony State Minister for Economics, Labor and Transportation, Olaf Lies. Entry is open to all commercial enterprises and institutions in Germany and other countries. The company does not have to be an exhibitor at HANNOVER MESSE. A panel of scientific experts would draw up an initial short list of entries. The prizewinners will then be chosen by an independent jury.

This year we have three nominated companies -

• Goldfuß engineering GmbH, Balingen, Germany
• incubed IT GmbH, Hart bei Graz, Austria
• MRK-Systeme GmbH, Augsburg, Germany

Winners will be announced on 14th April 2015.
