The students of IILM Engineering College (Noida) have created a hybrid vehicle called ‘Creatures'. ‘Creatures' gives an excellent average (battery full charge (40V-360 Amp) 80km, petrol 30 km/l and CNG 20km/KG). The maximum speed of the car is 100 kmph on petrol and 30kmph on battery.
Raunak Panwar and Sachin Sharma students of IILM, from Electrical and Electronics Engineering batch 2010-14, along with Shiv Kumar (lab in charge) are the makers of ‘Creatures', a car capable of driving on petrol, battery, CNG and solar energy.
This team stood 1st amongst the Indian teams at the 20th Annual Great Moonbuggy Race organized by NASA held at Huntsville, Alabama, at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center.
Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Chaiti Ganguly, Director, IILM College of Engineering and Technology said: "We are delighted to reach the milestone of manufacturing such a versatile car in the country which can run on 4 options available, namely: petrol, battery, CNG and solar power. We encourage our students to come up with some more new innovations in the campus."
