GPS Renewables, the world's largest biogas engineering company, has announced the appointment of Deepak Agarwal as the Managing Director of ARYA, its project development arm dedicated to climate-positive initiatives.
Deepak Agarwal is an industry veteran with over 35 years of experience in waste management and bio-CNG across government and private sectors. A former Central Civil Services officer and alumnus of IIT Roorkee and the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, he has held key leadership positions in prominent organisations such as A2Z Green Waste Management, IL&FS Environmental, and EverEnviro. Additionally, Agarwal has been a member of several national-level committees constituted by the Government of India and currently serves as Vice President of the Waste Management Association. His significant contributions include policy advocacy at the Prime Minister's Office, as well as with central and state governments, to establish a conducive policy framework for promoting waste management and the Bio-CNG/CBG sector.
