Wipro Limited, a leading technology services and consulting company, has collaborated with FORVIA (FRVIA), the world's seventh-largest automotive technology supplier, to optimise FORVIA's Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) applications.
FORVIA utilised Wipro Engineering Edge's Cloud Car building blocks, including microservices and vehicle container architecture components, to improve its vehicle safety and comfort applications.
FORVIA's ADAS applications are now largely hardware-independent, have reduced maintenance costs, and are seamlessly integrated into Original Equipment Manufacturers' (OEM) value chains thanks to the underlying cloud-native architecture.
The project also included FORVIA's innovative surround-view technology, which combines exterior camera views into an immersive 3D perspective, assisting drivers with safe and easy parking.
All functions within FORVIA's ADAS application set have been transitioned to a loosely connected, service-oriented microservice architecture. This update has significantly reduced software development lifecycle (SDLC) costs, allowing FORVIA to market its ADAS features independently and combine them effortlessly with other ADAS functions from customers or third parties.
