“Smart Technologies launches in India”

Smart Technologies announced their launch in the Indian market. The recently unveiled SMART Board MX Series® and SMART Board GX Series® interactive displays are engineered in-house at SMART with features and options that include SMART iQ® with the MX Series.

The company is developing manufacturing in Andhra Pradesh. SMART is working with one of India's largest Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) for production of Interactive Flat Panels to meet their quality standards.

These interactive displays will be on display for demonstration this week at InfoComm at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, and at Didac India from 18th to 20th September, at the Yashobhoomi (India International Convention & Expo Centre) in New Delhi.

"As pioneers and leaders in the interactive touch technology space, our launch in India is a testament to our commitment to this dynamic market. Our promise is to help teachers, students, and education leaders create connections that matter, and we're thrilled to bring this promise, and our leading products, to the millions of students and teachers here in India.  Needless to say, SMART is here to stay and we look forward to working with schools and organizations across the country" said, Jeff Lowe, Executive Vice President, SMART Technologies.

SMART has also announced three inaugural SMART Exemplary Schools in India. GEI's Subhedar Wada Medium School in Mumbai, Surana High Tech International School in Chennai, and Sense Kaleidoscopes in Bengaluru will each be formally awarded as SMART Exemplary Schools in the coming days. These three Indian schools join more than 35 global schools named as part of this designation of schools that use educational technology to deliver positive learning outcomes.
