Rajiv Mishra, Vice President, Samsung India Electronics said, "Samsung is proud to partner with the State of Kerala on its commitment to providing vocational education.

The knowledge and skills that students gain through the A.R.I.S.E. program help not only with finding employment in the industry, but also in setting up micro or small enterprises. We are confident that Samsung Technical Schools will contribute to further strengthening Kerala's strong sense of entrepreneurship."

The Samsung Technical School at Kalamassery is part of Samsung's national effort towards scaling skilling initiatives in India to address the need for talented manpower with practical know-how and relevant industry experience.

As on date, there are 15 Technical Schools operational in the country, with three others in the process of being set up. Over 3,000 youth have graduated from these Samsung Technical Schools since July 2014, which have been set up in collaboration with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Departments of Technical Education in states such as Bihar, Delhi, Rajasthan and West Bengal.

Strengthening its commitment to technical education Samsung recently announced the setting up of the MSME-Samsung Digital Academy, aimed at training youth to create innovative solutions for next-generation digital ecosystems.
