Atlas Copco commits Rs.3.5 crore to combat Covid19

Atlas Copco has made a commitment to contribute Rs.3.5 crore to combat the Covis19 crisis. As part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives, the company has contributed Rs.1 crore to PM-CARES FUND and a contribution of Rs. 2 crore has been ear-marked for Naidu Hospital, Pune, one of only two hospitals in Maharashtra dedicated to treating communicable diseases.

The amount will be utilised for providing medical equipment and PPE (personal protective equipment) for the healthcare staff, and a part of this fund has been allocated for modernising Naidu hospital, in partnership with the Pune Municipal Corporation. Additionally, the company has also contributed Rs. 25 lakh for distributing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other medical equipment to the health and medical staff operating in various hospitals across Pune  in association with CII (Confederation of Indian industry), Pune chapter. The company is also partnering with NGOs to help support migrant labourers and daily wage workers with food and urgent essential supplies with another Rs. 25 lakh.
