Rajiv Mishra, Vice President, Samsung India Electronics, said, "Samsung is proud to partner with the State towards ‘Make in India' as part of its commitment to the community. The Samsung Technical School program is a strong step towards developing vocationally-trained workers to support the consumer electronics and mobile phone segments in India, which hold much potential for India's manufacturing sector.

"We are confident that the skills students gain through the A.R.I.S.E. program will equip them to find or create job opportunities in the allied servicing sector. We hope many young women join the Women's ITI in Patna and take up this opportunity to gain technical skills along with industry exposure."

Samsung Technical Schools are part of a national effort from Samsung to create a pool of talented workforce with hands-on experience. The Technical Schools have been set up in collaboration with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Departments of Technical Education in states such as Rajasthan, Kerala, Bihar, Delhi and West Bengal. As of January 2015, 15 Technical Schools are operational in ITIs and MSME Technical Centres across the country.
