The Machinist Global Manufacturing Summit 2018 (GMS 2018) witnessed an expert panel which discussed on the topic of Technology Disruption - How to deal with it? S S Agarkar, Head of Manufacturing, Godrej Precision Engineering; Nishit Behera, Executive Director, RSB Group; T K Ramesh, CEO, Micromatic Machine Tools Pvt. Ltd. and Yatendra Kumar, Business Head, MotulTech India participated in the panel discussion.

The discussion touched upon various points such as challenges in adapting new technologies, skill development and being future ready for market trends & technological changes. In the discussion, the panel collectively mentioned that the change is inevitable. However, why the disruption has become a buzz word today is because of the speed with which it is taking place. Due to the pace of the technology transformations, heads of manufacturing units have to be on their toes to sense it coming in advance and be ready for the same.
