With more than 25 years of experience, Mike is an industry veteran who joined Honeywell UOP in 1990 as a development engineer. He brings diversified experience in technical services of field operations and has worked in several countries including India, China and far east regional service groups. Mike's vast experience will help UOP to further strengthen its business in India as the country is undergoing a paradigm shift towards a clean fuel regime.
"I am looking forward to my new role to drive the business forward in India and achieve sustainable growth, as we continue to invest in new technologies," Banach said. "India is among our top high-growth regions globally and we see opportunities in the refining and petrochemical sectors due to the opportunities laid by the Indian government in BS- VI fuel transformation."
Banach earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA degree from the University of Chicago. He succeeds Steve Gimre, who served as regional general manager - Honeywell UOP India from 2014 until this month.
