Renishaw will bring the theme "Automation for Everyone" to IMTEX 2025, highlighting advancements in productivity, precision, and practicality through its innovative metrology solutions. As a global leader in precision measurement and healthcare technologies, Renishaw will showcase key innovations, including the Smart Manufacturing Data Platform, Renishaw Central, and the world's smallest wireless probe for machine tools, the RMP24-micro. Visitors will also see their latest metrology fixtures and the comprehensive range of Machine Tool, Styli, CMM, Equator, and Encoder solutions.
Renishaw's 50+ years of innovation have consistently enhanced manufacturing productivity, eliminated user errors, and improved production processes. At IMTEX, they will demonstrate a range of process control solutions that support lean manufacturing, featuring technologies for pre-process machine calibration and both online and offline post-process measurements. Attendees can experience live demonstrations, explore the newest technology hands-on, and consult directly with Renishaw experts at Hall 4A, Booth B101, from 23rd to 29th January 2025.
The RMP24-micro, the world's smallest wireless machine tool probe, measuring just 24 mm in diameter and 31.4 mm in length, will be unveiled. This miniature probe delivers exceptional metrology performance, with a measurement repeatability of 0.35 micron 2σ and low trigger forces. It is designed for compact machines producing high-value, high-precision components, such as those used in the medical, watchmaking, and micro-mechanics industries. The RMP24-micro communicates with the ultra-compact RMI-QE radio interface, which is over 60 per cent smaller than its predecessor, employing an efficient radio protocol for optimal battery life.
Renishaw Central, the Smart Manufacturing Data Platform, will also be on display. This platform connects shop floor machines, gathering data from every stage of the manufacturing process to provide a unified view of the factory. It allows for real-time monitoring and updates to machining and quality control systems. The platform's Intelligent Process Control (IPC) software predicts, identifies, and corrects process errors, supporting long-term productivity and efficiency gains.
The Equator™ shop floor gauge will demonstrate its role in supporting manufacturers' drive towards smarter processes and factory automation. This innovative flexible gauge is optimised for automated or manual applications and can operate in diverse environmental conditions. With built-in Process Monitor software, the Equator system provides instant visibility of inspection results and applies automatic offset updates to address process instability, such as tool wear or thermal drift.
Renishaw will also feature the REVO® 5-axis multi-sensor system for coordinate measuring machines (CMMs). This system supports automatic switching between tactile scanning, touch-trigger, ultrasonic, vision, and surface finish measurement. Its patented 5-axis measurement technology maximises inspection capabilities and offers a future-proof solution for manufacturers across industries such as aerospace, automotive, and medical.
