ChargeZone, India's fastest-growing EV charging network, has announced the appointment of Pritesh Kumar as its Director of Business Development. With nearly two decades of leadership experience in the automotive industry, Kumar will drive ChargeZone's strategic initiatives to expand its EV charging network, develop innovative customer engagement strategies, and foster partnerships across the EV ecosystem.
In his new role, Kumar will focus on strengthening ChargeZone's B2B and B2C operations, optimising network utilisation through marketing and CRM campaigns, and scaling Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) solutions to deliver seamless charging experiences. He will also spearhead efforts to enhance infrastructure efficiency and increase accessibility to ChargeZone's services across India.

Kumar's distinguished career includes leadership roles in business development, institutional sales, channel expansion, and strategic marketing. He has consistently delivered transformative results across various business verticals through his strategic foresight and execution excellence. In his previous role as Head of Institutional Sales and New Age Business at Mahindra & Mahindra, he conceptualised and executed multiple programs targeting alternative business segments, launched digitisation initiatives to improve product resale value, developed a tertiary channel in rural markets that doubled market contribution, and secured major government contracts, including a landmark deal with the Indian Army.

ChargeZone is currently leading India's EV transformation by rapidly expanding its high-speed charging network for electric buses, trucks, and personal vehicles. This fiscal year, the company aims to establish 25 new supercharging stations, targeting a total of 500 stations with capacities ranging from 360 kW to 1.2 MW. Over the next six months, ChargeZone plans to deploy high-speed superchargers and strategically expand its network to improve accessibility and speed for all four-wheel vehicles.
The company's growth strategy focuses on precise station placement, route planning, and user convenience through mobile app integration and multiple payment options. ChargeZone also prioritises safety with 24/7 surveillance, emergency support, remote monitoring, and regular inspections.
