Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.'s Farm Equipment Sector (FES), part of the Mahindra Group, has announced its tractor sales figures for November 2024.
Domestic sales in November 2024 stood at 31,746 units, compared to 31,069 units in November 2023, reflecting a 2 per cent growth.
Total tractor sales (domestic + exports) for November 2024 were 33,378 units, as against 32,074 units during the same period last year. Exports for the month amounted to 1,632 units, representing a significant 62 per cent growth over last year.
Commenting on the performance, Hemant Sikka, President, Farm Equipment Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said: "We have sold 31,746 tractors in the domestic market during November 2024, achieving a 2 per cent growth over last year. With the Kharif harvest season completed, farmers are actively progressing with Rabi sowing. The marginal decline in the industry is due to the shift in the festive season of Diwali and Dhanteras compared to the previous year. However, strong reservoir levels and higher MSPs for key Rabi crops have boosted farmer sentiment and ensured healthy cash flows. The ongoing progress in Rabi sowing and an anticipated strong Rabi crop are expected to further drive demand for tractors in the coming months. In the exports market, we have achieved sales of 1,632 tractors, marking a robust 62 per cent growth over last year."
