Datta Infra signs Rs 5000 cr MoU for renewable energy development at Rising Rajasthan 2024

The investment will see Rajasthan emerge as a key hub for renewable energy, with projects encompassing solar, wind, and hybrid power across the districts of Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Nagaur, Pratapgarh, and Jodhpur

Datta Power Infra Private Limited has signed a monumental Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth Rs 5000 crore to invest in Rajasthan's renewable energy infrastructure at the esteemed Rising Rajasthan 2024 event. 

Under the leadership of Varchasvi Gagal, a young and visionary CEO and Managing Director native to Rajasthan, Datta Infra is dedicated to advancing sustainable energy development. Speaking on the occasion,  Gagal said: "At Datta Infra, we are not just investing in renewable energy; we are investing in a sustainable future for Rajasthan and India. Our Rs 5000 crore MoU under Rising Rajasthan 2024 underscores our commitment to driving clean energy innovation and creating opportunities that empower communities while preserving the environment." 

The investment will see Rajasthan emerge as a key hub for renewable energy, with projects encompassing solar, wind, and hybrid power across the districts of Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Nagaur, Pratapgarh, and Jodhpur. Datta Infra plans to establish 1000 MW of renewable energy capacity connected to the State Transmission Utility (STU), including projects under the KUSUM Scheme. The initiative is expected to generate 500–750 jobs, significantly contributing to the region's socio-economic development. 

Rajeev Kumar Bansal, CFO of Datta Power Infra Private Limited, remarked: "This Rs 5000 crore investment in Rajasthan's renewable energy sector marks a transformative step for Datta Infra. By focusing on wind, solar, and wind-solar hybrid projects, we are aligning with our long-term strategy to expand our renewable energy portfolio by 30 per cent  over the next five years. Through this MoU, we are not only committing to sustainable growth but also fostering local job creation and new business opportunities. In the short term, we anticipate revenue growth of 15–20 per cent by FY 2025, driving a positive impact on the regional economy and reinforcing our leadership in India's renewable energy transition."
