Dow Chemical International Private Limited (Dow India) has announced the appointment of Siddhartha Ghosal as its new country president, effective 1 January 2025. He will succeed Chandrakant Nayak, who is set to retire at the end of this year.
Siddhartha will lead Dow India and the India Sub-continent through its next phase of growth and expansion in material science, with a focus on innovation, customer-centricity, sustainability, and fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.
As Dow India gears up for future growth, Siddhartha's leadership will prioritise creating a work environment rooted in equity and inclusion. In addition to championing a diverse workplace, he will spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing customer-centricity, driving operational efficiency, and delivering sustainable solutions that contribute to long-term growth for both the company and its customers.
Currently the Site Director for Dow India Technology Centre at Juinagar, Navi Mumbai, Siddhartha brings over 24 years of industry experience to the role, including 17 years at Dow. His extensive expertise spans strategy planning, business development, research and development, and customer management across various geographies, contributing to the success of Dow's business units. He is also a core member of Dow India's Corporate Social Responsibility committee and plays a key role in mentoring and promoting diversity initiatives within the company.
Siddhartha holds a Master of Science degree in synthetic organic chemistry from Mumbai University and an MBA in human resources from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.
