DP World, a global leader of end-to-end supply chain solutions, has announced their achievement of highest ever monthly throughput of 1,29,368 TEU's in July 2024. This milestone highlights the terminal's operational efficiency and capacity to handle increasing g trade volumes. Since its establishment in 2003, DP World Mundra has achieved a total throughput of 1,74,95,602 TEUs.  

Underscoring its commitment to green initiatives, the company has replaced the terminal Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) with electric versions (e-LMVs) and converted diesel Forklift Trucks (FLTs) to electric (e-FLTs). Additionally, the company has also launched electric Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes (e-RTGCs) and electrified the existing ones.

Commenting on the milestone, Ravinder Johal, Chief Operating Officer, Ports & Terminals, Operations & Commercial, Middle East, North Africa & Subcontinent, DP World, said, "The record throughput at DP World Mundra is a testament to our unwavering commitment to operational excellence and sustainable port operations. The terminal is spread over 37 hectares with a capacity of 1.4 million TEU's. Supported by its own 18,000 square feet Container Freight Station (CFS) located just 4 kilometres from the terminal, which provides a locational advantage for the transportation of less-than-container load (LCL) and full container load (FCL) import and export cargo. The company has a 632 metre quay and deep craft capable of accommodating large vehicles.
