Sharika Enterprises announces Shyama Prasad Mukherjee as an Independent Director

Sharika Enterprises, leaders in the power sector have recently appointed Shyama Prasad Mukherjee as an Independent Director. Mukherjee possesses an experience of over 36 years. Graduated with Honours in Civil Engineering from IIT Roorkee, Mukherjee holds a Master of Technology in Structural Engineering from IIT Bombay. He completed an MBA in Financial Management from IGNOU, New Delhi.

He is a Fellow Member of the Institution of Engineers, India and a Chartered Engineer. Additionally, Mukherjee is the Life Member of the Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi and the Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad. Prior to joining Sharika Enterprises, he was the Regional Executive Director of NHPC and CEO at Lanco Teesta Hydro Power Limited.  Mukherjee worked in the design & engineering department of NHPC Limited for over 15 years.

Renowned for his leadership in implementing chief projects, Mukherjee led the 500 MW Teesta-VI Hydro Electric project in Sikkim. He has an experience in providing technical expertise and services in Bhutan, Germany, Russia, the Netherlands, DRC Congo, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

Mukherjee has also been involved with developing solutions in environmental flow release from dam gates along with managing floating debris in hydro project reservoirs.
