Harnessing the power of IoT, Hilti’s new DDS platform offers real-time access to tool park management, insights on cordless tool battery health, and serves as a virtual customer care centre.

Hilti India Private Limited today announced the launch of its groundbreaking Data-Driven Services (DDS) platform. This innovation offers state-of-the-art tool park and warehouse management, along with battery health services. This strategic move aims to revolutionise tool management for businesses, ensuring enhanced on-site productivity and efficiency.

Since its inception, Hilti India has been at the forefront of introducing innovations that improve productivity, safety, and sustainability on Indian construction sites. In July 2023, Hilti India launched Nuron – a single 22V cordless platform designed to enhance performance and safety across a wide range of applications, from light-duty drilling to heavy-duty breaking.

Hilti India has now made its Nuron platform even smarter and more agile by integrating intelligence and connectivity into all its tools. Hilti's innovative DDS platform, an advanced IoT technology, provides comprehensive tool park management and real-time insights into battery health.

DDS introduces several new features, the most significant being the location tracking of power tools, enabling users to monitor the exact site where their tools are located. Additionally, DDS offers real-time information on tool utilisation, highlighting idle assets and tracking the duration of inactivity. Another key feature is the proactive health monitoring system, which provides alerts on battery health and recommends replacements when necessary, ensuring uninterrupted operations.

To simplify access to this information, Hilti has introduced "ON! TRACK 3", a single app for managing all Hilti assets. This app also functions as a virtual customer care centre, offering a range of features including access to product details, tracking tool maintenance costs, and booking repairs directly.

Commenting on the launch, Ashish Markande, Director of Marketing at Hilti India Pvt Ltd, said, "At Hilti, our constant endeavour is to streamline our customers' tool ownership experience and ensure their convenience in using our products and services. In line with this vision, we have designed the DDS platform specifically to empower customers to focus on their core business while we manage their tools. By addressing key pain points, DDS optimises operational efficiency and procurement processes, serving as a one-stop solution for all tool-related needs."

DDS is the first-of-its-kind service launched for power tools in India. It seamlessly integrates with Hilti's Nuron platform, capturing data from all cordless tools during each charge cycle. This enables businesses to leverage tool park insights, improve efficiency, and make informed decisions through the app. With this innovative solution, Hilti India aims to provide data-driven consultation and services, staying true to its commitment to being the best partner for productivity, safety, and sustainability.

India is undergoing a digital transformation, particularly within the construction industry. Construction 4.0, driven by advanced technologies and data-driven solutions, represents a significant shift. BIM, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics, and Automation are key technologies facilitating this transformation. It is encouraging to see India's readiness to embrace innovation and strive for increased productivity.
