Sansera Engineering Signs MoU with Government of Karnataka Worth INR 2100 Cr

Bengaluru, 31st July - Sansera Engineering Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Karnataka, marking a significant milestone in bolstering the state's economy. The MoU, worth INR 2100 crore, aims to expand Sansera's manufacturing capacity in Harohalli, Ramanagara, driving growth in both the automotive and non-automotive sectors.

The MoU signing took place in the esteemed presence of the Honourable Minister for Large and Medium Industries and Infrastructure Development, Shri M.B. Patil, Dr. Selvakumar S, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Commerce and Industries, and Smt. Gunjan Krishna, IAS, Commissioner for Industrial Development and Director, Department of Commerce and Industries. Delegates from Sansera Engineering included S. Sekhar Vasan, Chairman & Managing Director, F R Singhvi, Joint Managing Director, and Rajesh Modi, Company Secretary, who were present during the MoU signing.

Under this MoU, Sansera Engineering plans to invest around INR 2100 crore over a period of three to five years. This investment will be directed towards expanding their manufacturing capacity over a 55-acre plot in Harohalli, Ramanagara. The project is expected to create approximately 3500 direct and indirect jobs in the region.

- Increased Exports: The new facility is expected to boost Sansera's manufacturing capacity by approximately INR 3000 crore, significantly contributing to India's export growth.

- Skill Development: Sansera plans to establish a training centre to enhance the skills of the local workforce, fostering talent development and employment opportunities.

- Technology Transfer: Advanced technologies and best practices will be introduced through this plant, benefiting the local industrial ecosystem and promoting innovation.

Sansera Engineering, founded in 1981 and headquartered in Bengaluru, is an engineering-led, integrated manufacturer specialising in complex and critical precision-engineered components for both automotive and non-automotive sectors.

Within the automotive sector, Sansera manufactures and supplies a wide range of precision-forged and machined components and assemblies, including connecting rods, rocker arms, crankshafts, gear shifter forks, and more. These components are crucial for engine, transmission, suspension, braking, chassis, and other systems in two-wheelers, passenger vehicles, and commercial vehicles. In the non-automotive sector, Sansera supplies a variety of precision components for aerospace, off-road, agriculture, and other segments, including engineering and capital goods.

Sansera operates more than sixteen state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, employing a workforce of over 8000 people. Twelve of these manufacturing units are located in Karnataka in Bommasandra, Bidadi, and Tumkuru. The company's key clients include renowned names like Volkswagen, Honda, KTM, FCA, and Hero.

Additionally, Bosch Automotive Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. has announced an investment of INR 150 crore for the inauguration of its Flexi Dome Camera manufacturing line at their Naganathapura Plant, Karnataka. This investment showcases Bosch's commitment to advancing its manufacturing capabilities in India.
