Ultraviollete to install EV charging stations at key HPCL fuel stations

Under the first phase, Ultraviolette will be setting up charging stations at HPCL retail fuel pumps in 12 select states, followed by expansion across the country.

Ultraviolette, an innovator in future-ready Electric Mobility Solutions and Energy Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HPCL (Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited) at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 will install electric vehicle charging stations at key HPCL fuel stations across India. The strategic partnership between Ultraviolette and HPCL crucially build on HPCL's extensive retail fuel pump infrastructure and reflects a forward-thinking and long-term approach by the two entities to enable cross-country EV motorcycle travel. 

Ultraviolette's F77 Electric Motorcycles offer an IDC range of 307 KM on a single charge, the highest by any electric two-wheeler in India, letting riders engage in intercity rides and long-distance adventures.

Under the first phase, Ultraviolette will be setting up charging stations at HPCL retail fuel pumps in 12 select states, followed by expansion across the country. Ultraviolette's fast charging stations will strategically cover not only National Highways and State highways but also the most remote locations, leveraging HPCL's vast network of retail fuel pumps across geography of India and enable Ultraviolette's EV bikers to travel much longer distances in lesser time.

Debashis Chakraverty, Ch. General Manager, Retail Strategy & Business Development, HPCL said, "HPC is playing a leading role in aiding the adoption of EVs in the country by setting up charging infrastructure for removing range anxiety from EV owners. HPC is targeting to set up 5,000 Charging stations by December 2024.  Presently HPCL is having more than 2600 charging stations at HPC outlets across the country.  This alliance will further strengthen EV adoption in 2W segment."
