WABCO India recently won the 2017 Road Safety Product and Solution Award from the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). This award was presented to WABCO India recognizing its initiative to enhance the safety of trailers in-country by equipping them with industry-leading anti-lock braking systems (ABS).

In 2017, the Ministry of Surface Transport mandated ABS in trailers to prevent trailer skidding and swing. WABCO trailer ABS is the first electronic system fitted on Indian trailers that monitors and controls wheel speed of the trailer during braking. WABCO trailer ABS enhances steering control and vehicle stability during braking maneuvers and is engineered to comply with braking legislation for commercial vehicles.
