Pune Machine Tool Expo 2016 got underway at the Auto Cluster Exhibition Centre. The exhibition was inaugurated by Nitin Chalke, MD - India, Eaton Technologies. P. Ramadas, Vice President - IMTMA, V. Anbu, Director General and CEO of IMTMA, Rajiv Khatri, Chairman, IMTMA Regional Council (West) and Dr. Anant Sardeshmukh Director General, Maharatta Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture were also present on the occasion.
Organized by the Indian Machine Tools Manufacture's Association (IMTMA), the exhibition will be held for four days from 29th September - 2nd October 2016 and will serve as a platform to demonstrate the latest manufacturing technologies.
With over 100 exhibitors, the expo covers the entire gamut of metal working machine tools for both metal cutting and metal forming including automation and robotics, tooling systems, CAD/CAM and other technologies which are essential for today's manufacturing.
Nitin Chalke, Managing Director - India, Eaton Technologies inaugurating the expo said, "Exhibitions like these update us about the latest technologies and products that are available. Machine tool industry should now look moving towards Industry 4.0 and develop energy conserving products that can reduce the consumption of energy at the production level to minimize the cost." He also said that exhibitions like these play a crucial role in providing platform for information exchange."
He thanked IMTMA for bringing machine tool exhibition to Pune and said, "Machine tool industry is important for the growth of the country and with the Indian government's thrust on Make in India, it will continue to play a crucial role in future."
