Avantha Group Company CG has bagged Rs300 crore of orders from Power Grid, the largest transmission utility in India for supply, erection, testing and commissioning of power transformers at various substations across India. The orders include 765kV transformers for the Chittorgarh and Ajmer substations, both part of the Green Energy Corridor, an initiative by the Government of India to facilitate evacuation of renewable energy into the national grid.
CG has also bagged orders for the supply of 400kV transformers and reactors to Power Grid, a large part of which is meant for the Green Energy Corridor, for the evacuation of Solar Power to the 400kV grid in addition to system strengthening projects.
The transformers and reactors will be commissioned at Power Grid substations in Kunta, Madhugiri, Narendra, Silchar, Mandola, Manesar, Panchkula and Damoh. The scope of work for these orders won during the first quarter of FY 15-16 include design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing, commissioning and associated civil works. The project commissioning schedule is between the 4th quarter of FY 15-16 and 4th quarter of FY 16-17.
