At the bustling IMTEX event, Rishi Kapoor, Associate Vice President at Meiban Engineering Technologies, an associate company of Muratech Japan, passionately described their technological showcase. "Muratech has always been at the forefront of offering solutions with automation. Everywhere you look, we are proudly declaring: Muratech means automation," he said with conviction.
The Muratech-Meiban booth was a testament to this ethos, displaying four cutting-edge machines, each equipped with advanced automation capabilities. Kapoor elaborated, "We are showcasing four different machines and four distinct technologies. Starting with the fastest machine, equipped with a twin gantry system, offering rapid automation at 240 metres per minute. Then, there's the turn mill centre, featuring a bar feeder and automation, and our star machine, the MWR 120. This is a truly unique machine, equipped with a Y-axis and Murata's signature twin spindle concept, which has no parallel in the market."
Kapoor highlighted that the MWR 120, launched in India for the first time, represents a significant leap in automation for diverse industries. "So far, we've primarily 72 Rishi Kapoor, Associate Vice President, Meiban Engineering Technologies served the automotive sector, which contributes 95 per cent of our business in India. Muratech is globally renowned in the automotive space for its automation expertise. But now, we are shifting our focus toward industries like hydraulics, valves, medical, and aerospace. These sectors demand process integration despite lower volumes, and we are here to address that need," he explained.
Expanding on the company's commitment to innovation, Kapoor spoke about leveraging emerging technologies. "AI and IoT are now integral to our solutions. At IMTEX, we are showcasing how we can help customers collect and analyse data using Silex, a Murata company, and FANUC MT-Link solutions. This allows our clients to improve productivity, reduce downtime, and achieve better machine maintenance metrics, such as MTBF and MTTR," he said.
"Muratech has always been a trendsetter in automation," said Kapoor. "Whenever automation is mentioned, Murata stands as number one. That's what sets us apart," he concluded. The showcase at IMTEX not only demonstrated the company's pioneering technologies but also reinforced its reputation as a global leader in automation solutions.
