At IMTEX 2025, Nisha Shukla of ET Now Machinist spoke with Gautam Desai, Founder & CEO of Asphalt Syndicate LLP, about the company’s advancements in R&D, key product offerings, and expansion plans across India.

Asphalt Syndicate LLP has been making significant strides in the cutting tools industry since its inception in 2016. With a strong focus on research and development, the company continues to refine its product range, ensuring high performance and durability. Gautam Desai, Founder & CEO, highlighted how their in-house R&D center in Rajkot, Gujarat, plays a pivotal role in product innovation. "Our milling indexable inserts and stainless-steel turning inserts undergo multiple trials before launch, taking approximately four to six months for market introduction," he explained.

Showcasing Cutting-Edge Solutions at IMTEX 2025

At IMTEX 2025, Asphalt Syndicate displayed some of its flagship products, including indexable milling inserts and stainless-steel turning inserts. Additionally, the company offers a comprehensive portfolio of round tools such as end mills in 1,500+ sizes, milling holders, solid carbide drills, U-drills, parting and grooving inserts, and threading inserts. Their product range extends to hole-making solutions and circular saw blades, catering to diverse manufacturing needs.

Target Markets and Expansion Strategy

Currently, Asphalt Syndicate has established a strong distribution network across 220+ cities in India with 330 dealers. The company's primary focus remains on automotive, agriculture machinery, and aerospace sectors, where precision cutting tools are in high demand. "India's cutting tools market is valued at approximately ₹8,000 crore, and we are leveraging platforms to connect with potential customers and demonstrate our quality-driven approach," said Desai.
