During IMTEX 2025, Anil Bhardwaj, Managing Director of Yamazaki Mazak India Pvt Ltd, discussed their top-selling multitasking machines, new launches, key target markets for growth, and future plans in an interview with Nisha Shukla.

At the Yamazaki Mazak India stall at IMTEX 2025, Anil Bharadwaj proudly showcased the company's cutting-edge offerings and their significant presence in the Indian market. "Yamazaki Mazak is the largest machine tool manufacturer in the world," Bharadwaj began. "In India, we supply the highest number of imported machines. At our stall, we've displayed some of our best-selling multitasking machines, including the Integrex and Variaxis. This year, we are also featuring the new models VC-Ez660 and VC-Ez410, part of our latest vertical machining centre range. Alongside these, we have turning centres, turn-mill machines, horizontal machining centres, and other multitasking solutions on display."

The Mazak stall was bustling with activity, reflecting the strong response to their new offerings. Bharadwaj highlighted one of their key attractions, stating, "The VC-Ez660, with its 12,000 RPM and 42 meters of rapid speed, has been a significant hit with customers. It's a made-in-India machine that combines performance and affordability, making it a compelling option for visitors."

When asked about customer response and key markets, Bharadwaj expressed his satisfaction. "The expansive layout of our stall has been a major draw," he noted. "As you can see, it's packed with visitors, and all our seats are full. Customers are particularly impressed with our vertical machining centres and multitasking machines, which are among our best-selling models in India. These machines are designed to meet the needs of various industries, making them incredibly versatile."

Discussing the company's future plans, Bharadwaj emphasised Mazak's focus on emerging opportunities in India. "We have a strong presence in the automotive, aerospace, oil and gas, medical implants, and general engineering sectors," he explained. "Looking ahead, we see tremendous potential in the aerospace sector in India. We aim to provide turnkey solutions for these customers. Our Variaxis and Integrex machines are already integral to many manufacturing setups in the aerospace industry, and we expect this segment to grow significantly."

With its innovative offerings and ambitious plans, Mazak India continues to strengthen its foothold in the Indian market, solidifying its reputation as a leader in machine tool manufacturing.
